Yes. Inside sits a padded laptop sleeve closed with a velcro strap, plus two slit pockets for keys, pens and cards. The backpack measures 40 x 32 x 15 cm; check that footprint against your machine if it is a large one.

A vast storage space of nearly 20L: clothes for a night away, books, or a full day of work. Outside you get a spacious front zippered pocket, a clip pocket for bulky accessories such as a charger or a toiletry kit, and two side zippered pockets that keep the essentials at hand.

Yes. The rigid, reinforced handle lets you carry it like a briefcase, and the two adjustable leather straps put it on your back for the longer stretches. It moves between office, train and weekend without changing character.

The oiled full grain leather shields your gear through rain showers and wipes dry without fuss. Treat it as strongly water-resistant rather than a dry bag: if it ever gets soaked, let it dry away from direct heat, and keep wet leather off light-coloured fabrics, as the oil can transfer a little colour.

Load haulers. The URSUS lives in daily life and travel, honest leather rather than technical suspension, and for long days under a heavy trekking load a purpose-built hiking pack will treat your shoulders better. Very little is needed. Rub light scratches with a cloth and some vegetable oil, and the surface heals; the same gesture feeds the leather. Let the bag dry naturally whenever it gets wet, and keep it away from pale fabrics while the leather is young. Marks on fabric come out in the wash.
