You asked us, we heard you. The Chamonix backpack features real buckles (not magnetic buckles like most of our other models) and reinforced zippers. You can therefore count on the reliability of the latter to offer you maximum security, in public transport or in the heart of the alpine mountains.

The exterior is rather sober, going to the essential without unnecessary elements. You will find a large front pocket and two side pockets, all closing with buckles. Très bon sac

Ce sac est magnifique et bénéficie d'une tres belle finition. Ceci dit je ne met que 4 étoiles car il est dommage que le sac ne bénéficie pas de la possibilité d'ajouter des sangles supplémentaires sous le sac pour fixer un sac de couchage, ni au dessus pour fixer un tarp ou une tente légère. J'ai du coudre des bassant de toiles pour pallier a ce manque. Mais cela reste le plus beau sac que j'ai pu trouver.

I ordered my backpack on 24/02 and advised, that it had to arrive no later than 9/03, as I wanted it for my trip to Amsterdam leaving 11/03. I dealt with Clemence, who was absolutely brilliant and kept me fully informed of all progress, it arrived 6/03, so no problems.
The backpack is exceptional, beautifully made
and perfect on my short trip. I am so pleased,

I was skeptical to the quality of the bag because I couldn’t see it in person. But was surprised it’s great with proper buckles.

Trully old fashioned piece that some of us love so much. Closures, material and all.
Adequate quality for the price. The best part is the harness system, looks the part yet is absolutely ergonomic - fit and adjustment, unlike some other 'transatlantic' classics;-)

Appears extremely well made, it's got a ton of room and pockets. The leather is soft but high quality. It isn't easy to find something with working buckles and no magnets, I'm excited about using this everyday

I love the Old School Chamonix Backpack

It took a little while to get to me as I live in the United States. When I opened up the package I was very happy to see the Backpack. I have taken it out several times on day hikes with my dog In Arizona. The backpack has held up great! I only wish I had bought the Chamonix backpack sooner.

Notre sac à dos Chamonix est bien un sac à dos en toile cirée. La toile a donc bien été enduite de cire et offre des caractéristiques de résistance à l'eau.

Nous attirons cependant votre attention qu'une toile résistante ne fait pas un sac waterproof. Il peut endurer la pluie, pas un plongeon dans la mer ;)
