The Ydalir 25L is a gear bag: a coated 900-denier polyester fabric that keeps water out, a reinforced base, a long zip to pack it flat. And two padded shoulder straps to put it on your back when the car park is a long way from the crag.

Since 1975

Klättermusen was founded in Umeå, Sweden, and has made mountain packs since 1975. Its packs have been made of recycled polyamide since 2009.

Repair rather than replace

Klättermusen repairs zips, seams and buckles. Outside the guarantee the service is paid, on quotation; Eiken passes the request on.

Care

Empty it and let it dry after the outing, hand wash with a mild soap, reproof if needed.

What about rain?

Proper rain, yes: the fabric holds over 30,000 mm of water. The seams are not taped: in a storm, a rain cover still helps.

Does it really carry on your back?

Yes, with two padded, adjustable shoulder straps, for an approach or a train connection. It is not a hiking backpack: no hip belt, and a flat, fixed back panel.

Does it fit in the cabin?

44 × 24 × 24 cm: it fits within 55 × 40 × 20 cm in height and width, but its 24 cm of depth exceeds the 20 cm allowed once full. Lightly packed, it usually passes; check with your airline.

Care

Klättermusen publishes no care instructions for this model. Its general rule for packs: empty it, let it dry, hand wash with a mild soap, reproof if needed.
