Klättermusen · Gilling Backpack 26L
Gilling 26L: the long day, opened right up.
The Gilling 26L opens in a U, like a suitcase: you see everything without taking anything out. A steel wire frame holds the load close to your back, the ventilated back panel lets air through on the climbs, and the wide hip belt steadies whatever you have added: the cook set, the warm layer, the mat on top.
Hiking · Long day
The hot lunch at the pass, the day that ends late, the outing where you take a little more.
The name is thought to come from Gillingr, a giant of the Edda, father of Suttungr. From the Edda.

Eiken's take
- Our pick
- For the U-shaped opening: the pack opens like a suitcase and the cook set at the bottom comes out without emptying everything. And the frame keeps the load close to your back as the day gets heavier.
- Worth knowing
- 840 g for 26 litres, 280 g more than the 20 L. And with no water column stated for this model, plan on a rain cover in the rain.
- Who it's for
- The day that overflows a 20-litre pack: stove, warm layer, mat on top.

Where do the poles go?
Down the side, in the pole carry, held by the compression cords.
Will it fit me?
Regular fit, for a back of 47 to 52 cm, measured from the bump at the base of the neck to the top of the hips. The back panel is fixed; shoulder straps, sternum strap and hip belt adjust.
