The ITEMS Backpack Rain Cover is Sandqvist's rain cover: 140 g of waterproof recycled ripstop nylon, folded into its own pocket at the bottom of your bag. When the downpour comes, you pull it over the backpack: the elastic edge tightens all the way round, and a clip holds it in place in the wind. On the front, a reflective print makes you easier to see as night falls.

Folded, the cover fits in its inner pocket, which has its own handle, and slips into the bottom of your bag without taking up room. Unfolded, it covers the backpack, its elastic edge pulled tight all the way round.

Is the Backpack Rain Cover waterproof?

Yes: the cover is made of waterproof recycled ripstop nylon and covers the top, sides and front of the backpack. The back, against you, stays uncovered: it protects against a downpour, not against a bag set down in a puddle.

Which backpacks does it fit?

There's no official list of compatible bags: the cover is photographed on a Sandqvist backpack with a top handle. Flat, it measures 52 cm tall and 45 wide, and its elastic edge tightens around the bag: compare with your backpack's dimensions, closed. At Eiken, we offer it with the ICON, GRID Rolltop and LEATHER Lid backpacks, whose fabric is water-resistant but not waterproof.

Do I need the cover on a STREAM backpack?

No: the PU-coated STREAM fabric and its YKK Aquaguard zips are already waterproof. The cover is for backpacks whose fabric is only water-resistant.
