Bergen Pro Sleek – The Structured Waterproof Laptop Backpack for Office Days
Soft canvas backpacks crease by lunchtime. They sag under a 16" laptop, slouch under a coat, and announce "I bike to work" in every meeting room — even when the meeting is with a client who doesn't bike.
The Bergen Pro Sleek by Kapten & Son holds its shape from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Same square Scandinavian silhouette as the original Bergen Pro, same dual top handles, same dedicated 15" laptop and tablet compartments — now in a full PU coated shell that doesn't crease, doesn't sag, and doesn't tell on you.
Who actually carries it
Junior consultants in the first year. Associate creative directors with three meetings before lunch. Doctoral candidates carrying a laptop, a tablet and printed sources between two libraries. Anyone whose backpack needs to look as deliberate as the rest of the outfit. The Bergen Pro Sleek waterproof laptop backpack is the dual-carry answer — top handles for the boardroom, padded straps for the metro.
Lighter daily carry? Fyn Sleek. Roll-top weekend version? Lund Sleek. Original textile model? Bergen Pro Backpack.
What actually matters
- Structured PU shell that holds shape all day — square Scandinavian silhouette doesn't crease at lunch, doesn't sag in the metro, doesn't soften under a coat.
- Dual carry: top handles + padded straps — briefcase grip for boardrooms, backpack carry for transit, no transition required.
- 15" laptop + dedicated tablet sleeve in microfleece — protected stack against your spine, 31 × 27 × 3 cm + 26 × 22 × 2 cm, no scratching.
- Full PU coated shell, fingerprint-proof matte — water beads off, marks wipe clean, no waxing rituals or canvas patina.
- Designed in Berlin, built for the office day — the same structured Bergen Pro architecture Kapten & Son refined over years, now in a rain-ready Sleek language.
From the metro to the boardroom
Walks into a client meeting looking deliberate. Slides under an airline seat for a one-day trip without unpacking. Survives a Tuesday-morning espresso disaster on a moving train. The Sleek finish does the work the canvas couldn't.
Not the duffel for a long weekend, not the daypack for a hike — the deliberate office bag for whoever spends their week between meetings, screens, and late-evening trains.
Designed in Berlin by Kapten & Son. Limited release in All Black and Muted Rose only. Two colorways, while stocks last.

FAQ – Bergen Pro Sleek
How is the Sleek finish different from the textile Bergen Pro?
Identical structured architecture: same square silhouette, same 13 L volume, same dual top handles, same 15" laptop compartment plus tablet sleeve. The Sleek edition swaps the recycled-PET woven shell for a full PU coating: matte uniform finish, water beads off, no waxing required. Same dimensions, same weight class, different surface logic.
Does it actually hold its shape over a full day?
Yes — the structured PU shell doesn't crease or sag the way canvas does. It walks into a 9 a.m. meeting looking the same as it did at 8 a.m., and a 6 p.m. metro ride doesn't soften it. That's the whole point of choosing structured over slouchy.
Top handles vs. shoulder straps — when do I use what?
Top handles are for short carries: meeting room to meeting room, café table to office desk, briefcase mode when you want a deliberate look. The padded shoulder straps deploy for longer transit — metro, walk to the station, airport gate to gate. The bag was designed to switch between both without unpacking.
16" MacBook or 15" only?
The dedicated padded sleeve is sized for 15" MacBook Pro (31 × 27 × 3 cm). A 16" MacBook fits in the main compartment with the tablet sleeve repurposed for documents. If your daily driver is the 16", consider the Lund Sleek (sleeve is 36 × 26 × 3 cm).
