The Kapten & Son Skara Cloud Tote is a light, puffy tote of 18 litres that takes a 14-inch laptop and a ring binder.

Inside, a fleece-lined laptop sleeve, an elastic holder that keeps the bottle upright, and a zipped pocket. On the back, a full-width zipped pocket split in two, for the phone and the wallet; on top, beside the main zip, a small zipped pocket with a key clip. 40 × 46 × 15 cm, 0.5 kg, water-repellent, vegan.

Does my laptop fit?

Up to 14 inches: the fleece-lined sleeve measures 33.5 × 25 cm, so a MacBook Pro 14 or a MacBook Air 13 lies in it. A 15 or 16-inch laptop does not.

What fits inside?

18 litres: a 14-inch laptop, a ring binder, a water bottle standing in its holder, the phone and the wallet in the back pocket, the keys on the clip.

Is there a shoulder strap?

No: two padded handles of 28 cm, to wear it on the shoulder, in the crook of the arm or in the hand.

Is it rainproof?

The fabric is water-repellent: rain beads off. It isn't made to be submerged.

Can it go in the cabin?

Empty, its 40 × 46 × 15 cm fit within a 55 × 40 × 20 cm cabin bag allowance. At 46 cm wide, it is too wide for the under-seat sizes.

Care

Lukewarm water and mild soap on a cotton cloth, then let it air-dry. Never in the washing machine, never with chemical cleaners.
