The Rover Pack Classic is the backpack that put Topo Designs on the map: 20 litres of recycled nylon, a 1000D base, and a flap buckled down over a drawcord. During the week, your 15-inch laptop slides into its padded sleeve, against your back. On Saturday, with a water bottle in each side pocket, it heads out for a day on the trail.

What fits inside

20L

20 litres for the day: the laptop, a jumper, two water bottles.

Under the flap, a drawcord closes the main compartment: pull it tight around a few things, let it out when you pack more. There's a large zipped pocket on the flap and another at the bottom of the pack. On each side, an adjustable bottle pocket and a compression strap that cinches the pack in when it's half empty.
