A Small Black Leather Backpack That Opens With a Click

The click is the whole point. The strap on the front of the WALTER ends in a magnet, so closing the bag is one gesture: flap down, strap on, click. Opening is the same gesture backwards, and then the drawstring gives and your hand is inside. The silver roller buckle under the strap gets set to your length once, the day the bag arrives, and is never touched again. What looks like an old rucksack ritual takes about as long as a zip.

The rest is top grain cow leather, cut smooth and even, with a deep black shine that moves in the folds. The hardware is aged silver, from the eyelets to the strap stud, nothing bright anywhere on the bag.
