Below the flap, the whole front of the Bali Medium unzips and folds down: you pack it lying open, like a suitcase, and see everything at once. The laptop goes in from the top, into a padded sleeve against your back, and the phone has a compartment of its own under the flap. 18 litres, 44 cm tall, 1.1 kg.

Does my laptop fit?

Up to 15 inches, yes: the padded sleeve measures 34.5 × 24.5 cm, inside against your back, reached from the top. Kapten & Son also rates it for a 16-inch MacBook, but a 16-inch MacBook Pro is 35.6 cm wide: we cannot guarantee it.

Can I go away for a night with it?

Yes, if you pack light: the front opens fully, so the clothes go in flat, like in a suitcase, and the laptop stays apart in its sleeve. 18 litres is a day bag, not a weekend bag: for two nights, look at the Bali Pro (25 L).

Is it rainproof?

The material is water-repellent: rain beads off on the way to work. It isn't made to be submerged.

Can it go in the cabin?

At 44 × 27 × 12 cm it fits the usual 55 × 40 × 20 cm and 55 × 35 × 25 cm cabin allowances. Under the seat, empty, it fits a 45 × 36 × 20 cm allowance; for 40 × 30 × 20 cm it is too tall.

Care

Lukewarm water and mild soap on a cotton cloth, then let it air-dry. Never in the washing machine, never with chemical cleaners.
