Oil immersed leather products can be prone by nature to colour transference on light fabrics. To avoid that, please make sure to dry your leather if it gets wet and try avoid contact with light coloured fabrics. If you however notice some stains, don't worry, it come out in the wash.

Full grain keeps its natural grain, so small traces and veins are part of each bag, and the surface darkens into its own patina over the years. Does it work as a leather laptop backpack?

Yes, that is what it was built around. The main space holds a divider dedicated to your laptop, with zippered and slit pockets around it for chargers and cables. At 38 x 27 x 12 cm it stays compact against the back; check that footprint against your machine if it is a large one.

What fits in 15 liters?

A working day. The front pocket has a slit for your books or an iPad, the main compartment takes the laptop, a sweater and lunch, and the secret zippered pocket on the back keeps keys, wallet or passport against your spine, where nobody reaches them.

Can I carry it by hand?

Yes. Besides the thin adjustable leather straps, there is a reinforced handle on top, so the OLAV goes from backpack to briefcase in one gesture. The leather flap and zipper keep the main compartment closed either way.

Is the leather rain-proof?

It handles rain the way good leather does: fine in a shower, not made for a soaking. Wipe it dry when you come in, and keep the wet bag away from light-coloured fabrics, since oil-immersed leather can transfer a little colour. Any marks on fabric come out in the wash.

How do I care for the full grain leather?

Mostly by using it. Light scratches come out when you rub them with a cloth and a little vegetable oil, and the leather only gets better as it marks and softens. Let the bag dry naturally if it gets wet, and give it some distance from pale fabrics while the leather is new.
