The Rover Pack Tech keeps the Rover backpack's silhouette, a flat flap with two buckles over a drawcord, and kits it out for work: 24.3 litres of recycled nylon, a compartment padded right down to the base, two laptop sleeves. In the morning, your 15-inch rides against your back on the way to the office. In the evening, with a bike light clipped to the daisy chain on the front, you cycle home.

Two laptop sleeves: one under the flap, the other against your back.

The first sits in the main compartment, under the flap. The second, padded, opens from the outside, along the back panel: the laptop comes out without undoing the buckles. Either one takes most 15-inch laptops.

What fits inside

24.3 litres padded right down to the base: the laptop, a jumper, a water bottle.

Under the flap, the drawcord closes a large padded compartment, base included, lined in yellow. On the front, a large zipped pocket keeps whatever needs to come out quickly. On the sides, two stretch pockets each take a water bottle.

Worth knowing: Two sleeves, but not for a 16-inch: each one stops at most 15-inch laptops, so measure yours before you order.
Who it's for: Anyone who cycles or takes the train to the office, gets the laptop out several times a day, and prefers a buckled flap to a bag zipped all over. If the laptop only comes out on Mondays, the Rover Pack Classic will do.
