Klättermusen · Delling Backpack 30L
30 litres, 400 denier fabric, poles without taking the pack off.
The Delling 30L opens with a drawcord, closes under a double-buckle lid, keeps your bottle in a big mesh pocket on the side and takes your trekking poles without you having to take it off. A 400 denier fabric, padded and ventilated shoulder straps: it is made to last and carry well, not to save grams.
Forest trails, ridges, long walk-ins, in every season.
Its name may come from Dellingr, god of the dawn, father of Day. From the Edda.

On your back
It adjusts at the shoulders, the chest and the hips.
- Padded, ventilated shoulder strapsThey stay comfortable on long walk-ins and let air through.
- A hip belt and a sternum strapVisible in the rear photo: the hip belt shifts part of the load onto your hips, the sternum strap keeps the shoulder straps in place when the trail climbs.
- One size, everything adjustsShoulder straps, sternum strap and hip belt all adjust to your size.

Thirty litres: what fits.

The details
A drawcord to open, a lid to close, two mesh pockets for the bottle.

The fabric
400 denier: a thick fabric, made to last.
- Retina® 400 denier polyamide, 255 g/m², face coated and PU coating on the back: the thickest fabric among our Klättermusen hiking packs.
- Recycled 60% recycled polyamide.
- Water repellent the fabric sheds light rain; no water column according to Klättermusen.
Klättermusen was founded in Umeå, Sweden, and has made mountain packs since 1975. Its packs have been made of recycled polyamide since 2009.
Klättermusen repairs zips, seams and buckles. Outside the guarantee the service is paid, on quotation; Eiken passes the request on.
Empty it and let it dry after the outing, hand wash with a mild soap, reproof if needed.
Eiken's take
- Our pick
- A day pack for people who walk a long way: a full carry system, poles within reach, a thick 400 denier fabric. The price is that of a fabric made to last ten seasons, not one.
- Worth knowing
- 881 grams empty is not a light pack: 320 g more than the Gilling 20L, for a fabric more than three times heavier per square metre (255 g/m² against 78).
- Who it's for
- Long days of walking, poles in hand, bottle and spare layer in the pack.
Baptiste, Eiken

Questions
Does it handle rain?
Light rain, yes: the fabric is water repellent. No water column according to Klättermusen, and the drawcord collar is not waterproof: in real rain, a rain cover still helps.
Delling 30L, Gilling 26L or Vide 30L?
The Delling carries the long day best: 400 denier fabric, ventilated shoulder straps, a hip belt. The Gilling 26L is lighter (840 g) and opens in a U like a suitcase. The Vide 30L is the only one of the three with a waterproof main compartment, at 1,140 g.
Is there a smaller one?
Klättermusen also makes the Delling in 20 and 25 litres. Eiken stocks only the 30 L.
Care
