Db · Backcountry Backpack 20L
Backcountry 20L: shovel and probe inside, helmet on the front, 12 cm deep on the chairlift.
Db's Backcountry 20L is a 20-litre off-piste ski backpack, kept slim for the lifts. Avalanche kit has its own internal compartment, with a drainage hole for melting snow, and the helmet rides outside, in a mesh that folds out.
Off-piste · Resort · Everyday
Three off-piste runs from the chairlift, shovel and probe on your back.

On the snow
Shovel, helmet, water: everything in its place.

Db builds in no RECCO reflector and no airbag: your own avalanche safety kit remains essential.

What fits inside

It opens wide from the top: you can see right to the bottom.
The top zip opens the main compartment wide, and the lid has its own zipped pocket. Db makes room for avalanche kit, a hydration bladder and a laptop up to a 16-inch MacBook Pro: the same pack works all week.

Eiken's take
- Why we chose it
- The only one of our Db ski packs that takes a 16-inch laptop: the same bag for the resort on Saturday and the office on Monday.
- Worth knowing
- 20 litres, a single top opening, and no ski carry: to climb with skis on the pack, take the Backcountry 25L.
- Who it's for
- Skiers and snowboarders who head off the lifts for a few off-piste runs, and keep the pack for town during the week.
