A work bag that knows how to leave on a Friday night.

The Kapten & Son Lisbon Pro is a rolltop backpack that opens like a suitcase, from the back and from the front.

During the week, rolled down to 26 L, it carries the laptop, the files and the bottle. On Friday you unroll the top: 34 L, enough for two days. The back opens all the way so you pack flat, the liquids pouch comes out of the front pocket at security, and a strap on the back slides over your suitcase handle.

A padded micro-fleece sleeve in the back panel, with a tablet pocket in front of it. Open the back flat and the laptop is right there; with the rolltop open, you can also see it from the top.

A recycled fabric that lets the rain run off.

Made for the rain: A coated, water-repellent fabric, waterproof zips and a rolltop that folds shut on itself: rain runs off. It's not made to be submerged.
74% recycled PET: Recycled PET makes up 74% of the bag's materials. The rest is polyurethane (23%) and polyester (3%).
A water-based coating: The polyurethane that makes it water-repellent and scratch-resistant is applied with water rather than chemical solvents.

Lisbon Pro or Bergen Pro?

The Bergen Pro is a 15 L city pack, slim at 11.5 cm, built for the laptop and the working day. The Lisbon Pro gives you 11 to 19 litres more, opens like a suitcase and can carry what you need for two days away. The price difference is the weekend.

Lisbon Pro or Lisbon Small?

Same design, same fabric. The Lisbon Small holds 18 to 24 L, takes a 14-inch laptop and weighs 1.2 kg. The Pro goes up to 34 L and a 16-inch MacBook.

Big enough for a weekend?

For two days, yes, unrolled to 34 L: two outfits, a wash bag and the laptop. For longer trips, the Lisbon Duffle Large goes up to 70 L.

Does it handle the rain?

Yes: a coated, water-repellent fabric, waterproof zips and a rolltop that folds shut on itself. It's not made to be submerged.

How do I clean it?

Lukewarm water and mild soap on a cotton cloth, in small circles, then let it air-dry. For a stubborn mark, a magic eraser. Never in the washing machine, never chemical cleaners. Don't treat it: it arrives water-repellent, and Kapten & Son voids the warranty on bags re-proofed at home.
